As our Production Supervisor – Encapsulation, you’ll lead the team responsible for one of the most critical stages of our manufacturing process. You’ll coach employees, oversee daily production, ensure exceptional quality, and create a positive, safety-focused work environment where people can do their best work.

What You’ll Do

As the Production Supervisor – Encapsulation, you’ll provide leadership for a team of Encapsulation Machine Operators while ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of production employees while fostering a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment.
  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and efficiency goals are achieved.
  • Monitor production performance, equipment utilization, labor efficiency, waste, and downtime, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure operators are following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Provide hands-on support to the production team by troubleshooting production issues and assisting with machine adjustments when necessary.
  • Coordinate production changeovers, cleaning, sanitation, and equipment start-ups with production and maintenance teams.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Planning departments to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
  • Monitor staffing levels and coordinate daily work assignments to meet production demands.
  • Assist in training new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to existing team members.
  • Complete production reports, shift summaries, attendance documentation, performance discussions, and other required records accurately and on time.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and actively participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Promote and model a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.

Our production environment is climate-controlled to protect product quality, with temperatures maintained around 20°C, making it comfortable year-round.

Shift Information

Enjoy a schedule that provides more days off each month than a traditional Monday-Friday position.

12-Hour Rotating Shifts

  • Day Shift: 6:50 AM – 6:50 PM
  • Sunday to Tuesday and every second Wednesday
  • 30-minute unpaid meal break
  • Two paid 20-minute breaks each shift

What We’re Looking For

Successful candidates will have:

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • The ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems
  • The ability to motivate teams while maintaining accountability
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism – French and English (Functional proficiency in French and English is required. This position supervises a multilingual workforce and requires frequent verbal and written communication with employees who communicate in either French or English. Bilingual communication is necessary to ensure workplace safety, effective training, operational efficiency, and employee engagement.)
